Apple Switching to USB-C Port

Looks like the era of Lightning connectors might finally be coming to an end.

After years of iPhones, iPads, and Macs sporting different ports, it seems like Apple's making a push for uniformity by switching most of their accessories to USB-C.

According to Mark Gurman over at Bloomberg, the next iMac is set to come with USB-C versions of the Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard, and this shift could happen as soon as next month! Not only that, but the AirPods are getting a makeover in 2024, complete with a USB-C charging case, and even the AirPods Max are expected to join the USB-C party (although we're not sure exactly when). Plus, the MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo Charger are making a return, and you guessed it, they'll be packing USB-C ports.

Apple's got a bunch of other tricks up its sleeve. We're talking about the Vision Pro headset, a spiffy new "Series X" Apple Watch, and a long-awaited overhaul of the iPad Pro. Plus, they're cooking up some powerful new M3 chips on 3-nanometer tech, promising beefier performance in MacBooks and other Macs. And it seems like the Pro iPhones are getting bigger screens, with some snazzy screen upgrades to boot. Oh, and don't forget, Apple's eyeing the generative AI race in 2024 with something called "Apple GPT" – their very own large-language model, Ajax.

A lot of exciting stuff is happening in the Apple universe, and it looks like USB-C is here to stay.
